Astley and Buckshaw Junior FC was established in 2004 by local councillor Mark Perks, on the back of a Football Foundation grant applied for by a residents group from Astley Village.
The growth of the club demonstrates how football can be used to help build a sustainable society and form strong links within communities.
Today the football club provides the ability for over 250 children to play football, across 19 teams, 10 age groups in various leagues in additional to running a development program for 4 to 6 year olds.
The club is run by volunteers and has an open to all policy, we proudly stand by our strap line of “We strive for fun and enjoyment in a safe and friendly environment, not results”.

Our Development Group runs on a Saturday morning at Derian Pitches in Chorley from 9-10am in summer and Parklands School Astro pitch from 9-10am on Saturday mornings in winter. We welcome players of all abilities to come down and join us.
